Hebrew liturgy provides blessings for every major event in the Jewish life cycle. Blessings for children, weddings, the Kaddish (mourner's prayer), and the Song of Songs have inspired composers to write beautiful vocal works that deserve a place on the concert stage: in this case, the warm acoustics of Rodef Shalom Congregation's Levy Hall. Sopranos, Katherine Soroka and Amy Goldstein, team up with pianist Luz Manriquez and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for our final concert of the season.
